Chole masala Recipe Ingrediant-

  • 2 inch chunk of cinnamon
  • Four bay leaves
  • Cardamom, large, two pieces
  • 2 teaspoons of tea leaves
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • salt as desired
  • 1-tsp. of turmeric powder
  • Powdered coriander: 1 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon of amchur powder
  • Kashmiri pepper, 1 teaspoon
  • One teaspoon of black salt
  • One teaspoon of powdered pomegranate seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 6 tablespoons mustard oil
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 4 finely chopped green chilies
  • 4 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 6 finely chopped onions
  • 6 medium-sized cans of tomato paste
  • 600 grams of chickpeas

  1. To make Chole masala Recipe, first of all put the white chickpeas in water to swell and soak them in water for a maximum of about 8 hours.

  1. Now take a white muslin cloth, put 2 inches of cinnamon in it, after that put 2 large cardamoms in it, now put 2 more spoons of tea leaves in it, after that tie the cloth and make a bundle.
  2. Now after that take a cooker, put white gram in it i.e. Kabuli gram, now after that put 3 to 4 cups of water in the cooker, after that now add 2 bay leaves, one spoon of baking soda and one spoon of salt and spices Put the potli and blow for 4 to 5 whistles, so that the spices put in the potli, Ajay and gram inside the gram get cooked.
  3. After that, now take a pan and put oil in it and heat the oil, after that now put a spoonful of cumin seeds in it, then add green chilies, after the chilies are fried, add onion.
  4. After that, when the onion starts to turn brown, then add ginger garlic paste and let it cook a little, after roasting, add salt as per requirement, then add all the spices like black salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, Kashmiri chili. Add powder, mango powder and garam masala. Now just add 1 cup of water to it and mix everything together and cook well till the masala starts leaving the oil.
  5. After that, you can add tomato paste and cook it for 20 minutes, you can also add pomegranate seeds to it, this is optional. Cook till the masala is cooked well.
  6. Now the last thing you have to do is to add boiled gram in it and mix it and now keep stirring the chickpeas after mashing them, after that add water to boil the gram and cook it for 10 minutes.
