How To Make Potato Masala For Dosa Aloo Recipe


  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 medium-sized chopped onion
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp (as per taste) salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 chopped green chilies
  • 2-3 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp grated or ginger paste
  • 2 tsp oil


  • First, you have to take a pan, then put 2 spoons of oil in it and heat the pan. Now you have to put 1/2 mustard seeds in the pan.
  • After that you have to let the mustard seeds go, that is, after roasting, you have to put urad dal in the pan, After that you have to add chopped green chilies, and after that add garlic, ginger, and curry leaves. I have to fry well.
  • Keep in mind that garlic and ginger should cook well.
  • Now put onion in the pan and fry it, after that add salt and turmeric and fry it. Now after that you have to fry the onion for some time i.e. fry for about 2-3 minutes. After the onions are cooked, add finely chopped tomatoes.
  • Now after that the tomatoes will have to be cooked until they become soft. Now you have to mash the boiled potatoes in the pan and mix them.
  • Now you must have mixed it, now add one or two spoons of water and cook for 2 minutes and now your potato masala will be ready.

How To Make Dosa Aloo Recipe-


  • 1.5 cup small size rice
  • 1/2 cup urad dal
  • 2-3 tbsp chana dal
  • 1/2 tbsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 poha
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter


  • First of all, to make dosa, you will have to grind rice, that too (1.5 rice), then (1/2 cup urad dal) will be fried, and now (2-3 spoons chana dal) will be fried. (1/2 teaspoon fenugreek Add water to the bowl and keep it for 8 hours to soak. Keep in mind that wash the lentils thoroughly with water.
  • When the rice and dal bagera is completely swollen. After that, now put some rice and dal in the grinder jar and now take a little amount i.e. 1/2 poha dal and add poha, this will make the dosa crunchy. Now you have to add water and grind it a little coarsely, similarly grind the remaining rice and rice also. Be careful not to grind too finely.
  • After this, you have to keep the ground mixture for fermentation for 10-15 hours. You should also see how the weather is because in hot weather it ferments quickly and if kept too long, it gets spoiled. But it takes a little more time in cold weather. Once it ferments well, add 1/2 teaspoon salt to it.
  • Now heat a nonstick pan. Put 1 tablespoon of the batter on the pan and pour it on it. But make a round-shaped dosa from all sides. Spread the dosa well. Add some oil or butter all around.
  • If the color of your dosa has become slightly golden, then you can now add potato masala to it.
  • Now your potato masala is ready
