Making Gulab Jamun

  • cup milk powder

  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ tbsp ½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • milk for kneading
  • oil for frying

Sugar Syrup For Gulab Jamun

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 2cardamom
  • ¼ tbsp saffron
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp rose water

Instructions

  • To make Gulab Jamun, first of all, we have to take a bowl in which we have to take a three-fourths cup of milk powder, after that, we have to take one and a half cups of henna and half a teaspoon of baking soda.
  • After this, take 2 tablespoons of ghee, and milk mix it to moisten the flour, and make a dough. Now you have to add milk as per requirement.
  • After that, mix well and prepare Gulab Jamun dough for home.Keep covered for 10 minutes.
  • Now you have to take 2 cups of sugar, along with 2 cups of water, 2 cardamoms and 1/4 teaspoon of saffron and start the process of making the syrup.
  • First of all, take a pan, add water and sugar in it and turn on the gas and after it gets heated for a while, add cardamom and add some milk. So that the sugar syrup becomes clearly visible, keep stirring it continuously. After that add cancer (optional) and then add rose water (optional).
  • After that you will have to see whether the syrup becomes sticky or new, then turn off the gas. After that add 1 spoon of lemon juice and then Cover the syrup and keep it aside.
  • Now when the dough is set, then make raw jamuns in the shape of small balls.
  • Check carefully whether the circle is well formed or not. If there is a crack in it then rotate it further and continue making circles. If there is a crack left, the gulab jamun will break in the middle, so pay attention to this.
  • Now when the ball is formed, you will have to fry it in oil or ghee. If you fry it in ghee then the taste goes away, I also cook it in ghee.
  • Now turn on the gas and place a pan, add oil and turn on low flame. Now put the Gulab Jamun balls in the pan.
  • Now fry on low flame and keep stirring so that the gulab jamuns do not stick.
  • Raw gulab jamuns have to be roasted until they turn golden brown.
  • When the jamuns are roasted, then the jamuns will have to be put in syrup. Keep in mind that extra oil or ghee will be gone.
  • Now cover the roasted jamun with sugar syrup and keep it aside for 2 to 3 hours.
  • You can keep the jamun until sugar and juice come out.
